What did you do IN your Garage today?

Just finished replacing the heater core in my 78 F250.

Now I just have two hours worth of hooking stuff back up and refill the coolant.

With air conditioning and runs on propane, means there is a hell of a lot of crap in the way, and it's lifted, so it's hard to work on.

I brewed beer....and drank beer.

Yesterday:

Cleaned the starter from my Motorcycle. It was dragging and hanging up from clutch dust:



Then made some wider foot pegs for it:

Wider is better. Sucky welding, but it will hold.

Cut up a bunch of tile for this project (total master bath remodel). Poor Wee Strom is buried under remodel supplies and the FJR has been kicked out to make room for all stuff that was brought in for the re-do. Geeting close to the end though.

Greased the bone dry swingarm bolt and linkage bearings on my DR650. Waiting on my shock to return from Race Tech and I got sick of seeing it just sitting there! Oh yeah, and had some Fat Tire

What happened to that garage door? Look at the angles!

You can install the track like that to wedge the door in the closed position

spent yesterday tranfering down into my diy top quilt(hammock camping gear). sewed that up, cleaned up the garage, and moved out some things to make room for taking plastics off of the st1100 for winter maintance. long list of things to do this time around.

I don't know about you guys but I have always wondered what the oil coller inside a Sicon XB radiator looked like.
And why is it that whenever the weather turns cold some device contianing water fails?
The radiator in my kids XB shit the nest and I decided to cut it up and see whats inside.



It's tubular. Well made for sure. Thinking about trying it as an oil cooler.

Blasphemy! Please dont lean stuff against a living/breathing motorcycle like that.

Went for a 30 mile ride on the sled. Worked great! The old body isn't like it used to be though.

Watched the roof leak. Dang flat roofs and ice build up. Think it is leaking from the drains that go to gutters. I hate flat roofs

Re-jetted the carb in my son's CR85R (for the cold weather). And noticed a bad leak in the sink in my garage.

Must be an optical illusion, door works fine!

I know I feel so bad. Not sure what's worse, using the Wee as a stand or making the FJR sleep outside for the last two weeks. Please don't call child protective services! I'll get better, I promise.

Right thats what I mean. The track can be installed in a taper towards the floor. This makes the door fit tight in the track when closed. This keeps it from rattling in the wind.

Started working on a 8 HP briggs on a rear engine Snapper rider. This is an early 300 series mower that a tenant left when she moved. Once I found that it had spark,took off the carb and soaked it in an old coffee maker with heated Krud Kutter solution. Put some carb cleaner and compressed air thru it and with a gasket or two,it is ready to test.

Changed the oil and filter on the Ulysses, replaced the serpentine belt on the Chevy, started working on freeing up the engine of the Stinger.

Not today - yet - but going through the process of trying to get a '79 Guzzi V1000 G5 running again:



Heads retorqued, valves adjusted, points cleaned/adjusted, (static) timing set, new battery installed, and getting ready to dig into the carbs and replace the throttle cables. Waiting on parts, so can only go but so far.

Local NYD ride cancelled due to yukky weather, so will probably get out there a little later and play in the (cold) grease. .
