Are the Uconn Huskies named the Huskies due to a clever play on the Uconn vs Yukon sounding name.

    And GO CYCLONES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thus far, my bracket has the same faults as hodag's sucky bracket, and is quite sucky indeed. :lol3

My brackets = shambles! But it's a good shambles!

But that's enough #2 seeds losing for today.

well, i've lost 25% of my sweet 16, but only 12.5% of my elite 8, and my final 4 still lives.

I've dropped Mich and Duke from the Elite 8, that is the worst of it thus far.

last year i started out so well. just missed one or two if i recall. day two; 7/16 or so.

    all downhill from there.

it's weird. i've used a similar method to pick for the last 15 years or so and most years it works, but when it fails it fails badly.

at my last job the scoring was biased towards upsets. if a 14 beat a 3 in the first round and you picked it, you got 14 points. if you picked the 14 in the second round and won you got 28 points. the girls who picked by uniform color or cutest mascot had a great chance of winning. hell, one year i was far and away in the lead in terms of correct picks, but somebody picked george mason going deep and just killed me.

anyway, it's early and there's no money on the line.

unless you all want to send me money.

Brother lives in Omaha-- attended yesterday's games. Three with my nephew and then the KU game with S-i-L a Jayhawk alum.

Said the crowd went absolutely wild for Norfolk State, drowned out the Missouri fans. Was really impressed with NSU in this game.

    Quoted just coz.

I had Marquette beating the Tigers, anyway, but I've lost 4/16, 2/8s, and one of my final fours (Duke). In fact, I had #1 vs. #2 in every regional final except the west.

    What a day yesterday.

I now need a really weird final four, more to ruin other people's chances than to help mine. :lol3
