Does this include a actual place to put an allen wrench on top to tighten? Why the original ram balls didn't come with a hex below the ball still confuses me.

Ah ... I used this special plastic paint:

    http://www.krylon.com/products/fusion_for_plastic/

And I THINK I used colour "Satin Khaki", and "gloss black" (also Krylon Fusion) for the front fender.

Bit worried where this thread is heading with all the talk about ram balls and soft bags going on.c :eek1

I think you mounted the BMW badge too high and probably before fitting the indicators. :lol3

Trying to find the yellow and blue colour scheme though! :norton

    Hey Frode

The lower fairing mounting points are only tied up because the brackets to mount them are getting powdercoated :)

The BMW badges have to be there - because there thats an imperfection in the mold, from where the KTM originally had its indicators mounted. You have to cover that spot up with something - might as well be the BMW badges :1drink

Everything is for a reason mate :freaky

Its a real shock riding this after the husaberg. Feels like I am behind the wheel of a battleship - so much more momentum and inertia ... but so incredibly stable. Really looking forward to touring on it again this year. The Berg is a lot of fun but also a lot of work for distance stuff.

Oh those ... no those are weak points in the system ... They take a bit of stress and the first fairing that I got there is no kevlar reinforcement on that lip ... I want to get it repaired and to add kevlar there but I dont have time - mine were actually both damaged in transit - before I even fitted them. I bought one for myself back in early 2011 before Erik decided to start ordering a batch or two. I think his next batch he will specify Carbon - Kevlar reinforcement along ALL the edges.

If yours doesnt have the carbon kevlar reinforcement there, then I would find a local composites guy and just ask him to reinforce all those edges / lips

sorry mate - I am not following ... Erik has made his own adapters to fit the XCs brakes to 48mm WP KTM forks on the XC.

But you want to fit which brakes to the factory shivers?

I cant remember what axle clamps are on those, but I guess you want to just use the BMW axle clamps and drill out a hole in the bottom of them for compression damping adjustment? If you do that then i would just stick with the XC front brake

You sold the Marzocchi Factory before you ever used them to an innmate from Norway (I think?), i have bought these with triple clamps so they're just bolt on.
Exept of the brake adapter, so the kalipter can fit the OEM rotor/wheel.
I'll just have to figure out wich adapter that actually fitt's the Factory's?

My intention is to use the axle clamps that allready is on the Factory's, as the spacer's shouldn't be much of an issue.
It's more of an challenge to line up the brake kalipter.
If i have an adapter that is close enough i could modifie them, but i don't have any knowlegde or equipment to make an adapter from scratch.
