This what you meant? I'm having a lot of fun with it. Only crashed on it a few(many) times. I can ride across the crossbar lengthwise maybe one try in ten. It is fun to do holding pressure wheelies across the legs of the H

I got them from a local recycling place. They had a big pile of old ones. Pro tip: Loading railroad ties into a truck with broken ribs isn't fun. That's why I only have four.

Does anybody else get callouses on their clutch finger?

Last sunday we had a small (coz we're a small club) trial at Centre Bush, just north of Invercargill, New Zealand. It's spring down here, and the ground is drying up. The site was an old lime stone quarry which is now a sheep farm. We had 8 sections across three grades, with most riders completing 4 rounds, and we clubbys doing 3, but then going back and repeat riding a few of the sections which caused us problems.
My daughter who is a journalism student came down with me and took some photos, and did an interview with Brad who won the event.
I hope this link works for those who are interested.

Good try TRT, it's called number 8 fencing wire.

When my Fantic wouldn't start, again, I was looking for all sorts of things to either help it start, or to beat it to a pulp.

Just as you fellas have "Duct tape and WD40" to fix or lube anything, we have number 8 wire.

One of our club members, Blake Fox, was representing NZ in Spain recently, and TDN soon. He got 6th in recent (125cc) world (?) competition.

That`s cool about the ride Fox had.:clap We had two young american riders in the world cup. The one to watch is Andrew Putt. At 15 years old he is quite impressive and has the backing to do it all.

I swapped the jugs between my 300 with the dying transmission and the 280 eco. If you take two old bikes and assemble the best parts onto the best transmission, do you have a better bike, or just more mechanical experience? Swapped the carbs and selected the best fan and radiator while I was at it. Both radiators look beaten unfortunately. ..

Well I did not want to be Ofencive, and my buddy (Peter Lynn) in Ashburton must be bi-ligual since he has referred to #8 wire as fence and binding.
In my trade we do call it binding but I digress :D
Just wish I could have been with you having Fun.

I disconnected the brakes and raced in a vintage national 250cc brakeless class. Had to start in 3rd with the stock gearing to get off the line. Will post a pic as soon as I get 'em... and NO I didn't win. lol
