Great pics of Daytona Dave. Looks like you and the lady had a great time. Thanks for sharing. Dang, was thinking, have not been to Daytona in over 30 years. l-(

Really great photos, I'm glad you posted so many. I've never really thought about going to Bike Week in Daytona but I think now doing it once would be fun... who knows, maybe I could find a girl there who likes to ride?? :evil

Dave I checked the 48-10 list and there were no WeeStrom's.
    You would be the first.

    Dave,

Nice work with the D200..I've got over 100,000 shutter releases on a couple of those bodies and they are tough pieces of equipment...

When I'm traveling light on the bike, my big lense in the tankbag is a 70-200...In order to get a little more focal length out of that lense, I carry a 1.4 converter...You give up some speed, but in most cases i'm shooting with plenty of light...If i'm on the end of the day and loosing light, i'll just bump the iso up, and keep shooting..If all else fails, I can always drop the converter.. Didn't know it you had the converter, just thought I'd throw that in, since the converter takes up hardly any room..

Anyway, nice job, and thanks for another great RR..:clap

How was the traffic in Venice? Last time I was there, I couldn't believe some of the maneuvers I saw.
    But this:

WHile I mentioned the 70-200 earlier, I failed to mention that the 2.8 80-200 is equally sweet at about half the price...Lots of people have moved to the VR lense, resulting in some great deals on the 80-200....

    Dave,
I don't blame you. I'm still working on my first very small picture type trip report on here and it's a lot of work. Your head has to be right or you just half a$$ it as I found myself doing on the 3rd segament on my small report. But I'm doing it in Word first , then going over it before I copy and paste it in the Adv site.
Thanks for all the work and time you put into this report and the other one. I really learn lots about the lands and things you report on. Lots about the people in the report also. Always brings a smile to my face.
    Hang tuff. :freaky

This Post reminds me that love is fragile, essential to our happiness, and can be renewed with a clear focus on the needs of each other. A photo is a cameo moment. My perception is that you two are having the best days of your lives. Congratulations.

Take your time, Dave. I applaud your ability to walk away. I always end up just half-assin it, then I'm disaapointed with the final result.

BTW- I had a Guiness at TJCarneys also. It just seems like a natual when in Venice...:huh

Great RR, really enjoying it (as I did the last one!) I like how you took the view from one corner in Daytona and pretty much captured the whole spectrum of bikes in attendance.

But don't feed the 'gators! It is actually a criminal offense and they take it pretty seriously down here. The FWC guys will arrest you if they catch you doing it. It's a bad thing for gators to associate people with food-- it makes them much more likely to attack.

Criminal conduct aside, keep up the good work!:thumb

    YO DAVE!

I sent you an email a few days ago. Did you get it or did I screw it up? I've tried to post back to individual photos - just like normal people do here - but can't figure out how!!!

Man, it is tough being computer-challenged!

Love this story and your last. Keep it up. And say hello to that lovely wife of yours. (Still can't figure out how a fella w/ your looks snagged a babe like her!)

:rofl The planning does take on a life of it's own.
I'm going to try the 48 plus next year, the lower 48 and Alaska.
I've already made the map. I can't wait to try.
