Hell... well not quite, but pretty damn close
Just got back from there today. Whirlwind tour in the cage with the wife. One full day is NOT enough time to take in GNP. Wow:eek1 ... I was exhausted just from taking it all in. Going back again and taking several days... now if I could just get the wife on some sort of 2 or 3 wheeled form of transportation.

Got up this morning with all kinds of positive energy... Going to fill the tank with a fresh mix of race gas and Blendzall. Gas cap comes off slick as a whistle and I see this. Clean as much off as I could (inside and out) and I have a real good fuel filter, so.... We'll see what happens

We won't be able to make it. Robin and I are headed over to to the west side to do some Island hopping. I think we are going to stop in at Wet Fest for a day to.

Have fun playing on the Islands and at WetFest.

It's too bad you won't be around since Barry (Oldtimer) is packing right now to head up here from TX, due to arrive in Spokane Fri. Last minute plans and it looks like he and I will be doing a week long dirt ride.

We won't leave to for the ride until Sunday so we can go to the Trials on Saturday and make sure Kootenai Rider gets there.

Heck you still have another week.....Just how long does it take you to move anyway? It hasn't been that long since the last time you moved - if it were me I'd still have half the stuff packed from the last move. :lol3

What causes this? Plastic tank and ethanol ?

The problem is "I'm a collector"....
I can't throw anything away. Well some times there is a momentary weakness and I toss an old inner tube:lol3
Seriously, I still have a storage unit across from the Twin Lakes house with unopened boxes from McCall ( 2 years ago) and a half complete Yamaha SR500 restoration....

I may get to it before the snow flies....

Not quite sure. It's back at the painters now and he couldn't explain what happened. First gas in was ethanol laced. I discovered this before I mixed the race gas the day of the Spokane shorttrack. It ran OK, but in the main, the fuel filter became almost completely plugged. The motor wanted to die, but made it to the end.
The next morning I attempted to drain the tank and found there was a stack of crap in the filter and minimal fuel flow.

Really had the "gots-to-haves" for one of those back around '77-78. Finally got my first bike last October. At least it is a thumper!

If you wait until next summer, I'd like to watch/help you rebuild that SR500.

Dale -- are you headed down to the vintage trials in Fairfield? I'm still debating riding/driving/camping/ wimping out....

Big Sky has some brutal yet gentle trails .. had a good time -- made it to South Meadow Lake (8400 ft) -- thought my brother was trying to kill me. Told him I was riding a motorcycle not a mountain goat... :bluduh

Who else is showing up? Besides LB and KR?

I'm flying down to Boise Sat. a.m. to pick up my new (to me) bike. Got Nanc suited up last week. She'll be taking the MSF course in the spring with a ladyfriend. So we needed something for two-up.

So, sorry, wish I could go, but something more important came up! :D
