Painted Hills Unit, John Day Fossil Beds, eastern Oregon. Taken last week. Miles and miles of gravel for my friends . . . .
This one resonated well on Flickr (got me on their 'Explore' page, that means a lot to a casual Flickr user!) 2008 Yamaha FZ6n S2 [Explore] by Cortez_CRO, on Flickr ..and here's another: 2008 Yamaha FZ6n S2 by Cortez_CRO, on Flickr
I was white knuckle cage dancing (aka driving a car) south through the Dragon's Tail for the first time a couple of weeks ago during the big storm. It was snowing pretty good but not sticking to the ground. When I reached the south end at the 129/28 junction this rider came up from the south. At first I was taken that anyone was thinking of taking a bike north through what I had just done south. Then I saw her copilot poke his head out of the pillion bag. We chatted a bit and I took some photos of her on her camera as she was travelling solo from Florida and it was her first pass through the gap. She headed on north into the snow and I headed south into the sun. Please excuse if pictures are not displaying in thread. Usual n00b using flickr riding with the kickstand down kind of problems... Tough to watch, omeoxlv. Things happen real fast when gravel's involved. You'll have some good lookin' scars after that one. (I can relate.) Heal. Then ride.
