That will make everybody say Wow No offense to anybody but is been about three years since I check the G-Spot and it feels like a episode of "All my children" or even better like a Mexican photo Novelia that you can stop watching for a long time but at the end you don't miss much, Yes the protagonist and the nomenclature chance but the plot stays pretty much the same. So shows us something radical, Something new, Something that keep spinning in your Head until you can not resist anymore to the point you need to make it happen since the object is not available anywhere at any price. Thanks for participating from the bottom of my heart Ps: Try to make this Post using visual aids like pictures of the objects or at least drawings that explain what it does and how it works as oppose to rhetorical pursues that lead nowhere.
That has already been done on another thread. Some of the ideas and craftmanship were great; some of the workmanship had me Here is my ongoing submission of DIY.
Wow MEga WoW Global Rider, wonderful work you have made with excellent presentation skills too.. I guess we can Delete this posting since the last thing we need is repited postings around here.
I have a little question How can it be that is a million Threads about GS Vs Gotzilla, or how much tire pressure you need to run when the weather is warm and the wind is blowing at 8.3miles per hour. But nobody has anything to show even to say. I'm been scanning the pages of the G-Spot for a few days and I have not found anything revolutionary, or even interesting is pretty much the same stuff i was reading when i left about 3 years ago, Yeah the models are different, but the flavor of the posting stay the same really sad.. Well at least I promise you guys when I get my 1200 i will make a "Pennytech" windscreen that will make the stock one a lot quieter with out the need of a barndoor size piece of acrylic to fix the Freaking noise
I have been making a couple boxes for the KLR. Maybe I will finish them this winter. I made this really cool christmas thing. My wife hates it so it's been there for almost three years now. Some people just don't have any taste. How about a trunk for the GS. I made some highway pegs with parts from Ace Hardware. Who know they had GS parts. How about a waterproof carrier for the XM radio? And a replacement LED taillight. Much brighter than stock. I made some friends. The ugly one is Medicine Creek. He's an idiot.
mounts to fit an r80gs windscreen on the hp2 and with the watchful eyes of Poolside, a little electric circuit to power an aux fuel pump not really wow material, but they're major moments for me.
Haven't made anything for the GS yet, but..... Fairing for XT550 7 gal KLR tank 3rd wheel for KLR Hovercraft (this is the 1st one... did 2nd one but don't have pix handy)
You are right. I did a bit of research and I did say wow.... At the same token, maybe that not what I had in mind, when thinking of "custom made". Nevermind, he's an artist without a doubt. I particoularly like the engine with top glass converted to coffe table...
Had a little fun with the CNC. Was heading from Charlottesville to New Orleans and brought way too much stuff.
Swingarm pivot cover. http://www.advrider.com/forums/showthread.php?p=10397866#post10397866 Helmet Lock for my wife's F650GS http://www.advrider.com/forums/showthread.php?t=490195&highlight=helmet+lock Wheel Removal Tool. 22mm hex on one end for the front axle, 1/2 drive for sockets on the other. I bought a 1/2 to 3/8 drive adapter and a T45 for the Torx screw, but you can put any socket you want. I also put a hole through for a "T" type handle. You can't see it in the photo because it is parallel to the table in the picture. You can use a screwdriver or a 1/4 bar to turn it.
I made a shiny little bottle rack for my pannier: Here's the story behind it if interested: http://www.advrider.com/forums/showthread.php?t=450529 H
I wasn't a fan of the gold areas on the forks, easily covered up with some PVC tubing. Not to sure about the WOW factor Ricardo...you be the judge.
Bought some steel rod at Lowes and built me a hdlight guard, even dipped it in some of that there Plastidip for that factory look. Also made my own oil cooler from a hunk of Aluminium that once served as a tailgate protector. Then took a hunk of steel from a GM Bumper support and made some aux. light supports. And the finished project's... Then I tried to put bigger/hotter plugs in but could not get the thread 's started...maybe Helicoils.
