Triple probably wouldnt be the thing anyways. I guess there's no interest in bringing an RS750 back out,too much of a collector bike now, they were fast in their day.

Hopefully they approve the new Yamaha 700 twin soon

M3 Racing out of Minnesota runs a RS in the Pro Twins class. They are said to own all spares now.

Sure looked like a Kawi. Wonder if they're trying to save the HD for GNC races?

Big Al at Racing Unlimited built Sammy an engine over the weekend. Alan has probably six of his engines in GNC bikes this year.

From what I've seen at Springfield, they need a LOT of help tuning because they were dog slow. And they had a lot of mechanical issues.

Yeah, they really got hit with some hard rain last night. Track was nearly underwater! Too bad they had to cancel the race, but with Indy so close I imagine they really had no choice but to cancel.

I wonder what the reasoning for moving it to Friday is? I can not make it this year now because of the change.

Ronnie Jones told us a couple of years ago that in the 90s Honda did everything they could to "make the RS extinct". That is why he finally quit riding one of the last ones. Credit this Minnesota team for dogged determination to see a Honda keep running. So, I would say there are no "spares" left to speak of. They are probably hand building their own parts w/o any help from Honda at all. There are those of us who remember that they were not "dogs" in the hands of Graham/ Shobert ,Boody, Jones in the 80s for sure. But, their day is done now. A "vintage bike" racing modern stuff.

Mr Honda would roll over in his grave if he could see what Honda has become,he was a racer through and through and would not have abandoned the RS.

But then isnt the Harley XR even more of a vintage pushrod style bike? 1st made in 1972 in it's current form,RS designed in the 80's.

Harley says it will race the new 750 engine next year, its an under 60hp streetbike engine so another underdog at first glance.

Couldn't you run a Honda VTR1000 motor? I would think that would make as much power as the RS?
