    1. Survey has now been COMPLETED.1,279 riders completed the survey in 2012.
No additional inputs are being accepted...THANKS for yours!

Note: ADD 5,000 miles to the mileages shown by year below for 2013.
That is, a 2006 bike should now have approximately 48,000 miles on it by the end of 2013.

Note: ADD an additional 5,000 (total 10,000) miles to the mileages shown by year below for 2014.
That is, a 2006 bike should now have approximately 53,000 miles on it by the end of 2014.

    2. Then...return here to see the results for everybody:..

Nicely done LPOL. This is a great snapshot in time but how will you keep it current and relevant as time and miles go by?

You are precisely correct...this mileage exercise is a snapshot and will vary over time.

    Any suggestions? :ear

I want to know the stories behind the numbers. Who has the '11 with 60,000+ miles? There has to be some great ride reports/recommendations from that person.

You won't see a ride report from this one...until...he stops riding!:rofl
And...according to my calculations...that could be awhile.

08 gsa, 65,000 klms. this bike is only used one day a week, however, when I get to go on a trip, it is usually a minimum of 8/10 thousand klms. love it:

Apparently the 1 rider that accounts for the 7% got the high priced factory OEM 'glued to seat' option. Can't get off the bike to ask the dealer service department about the phenomena.:rofl

If the goal of th survey was to get an idea of miles per year on GS's then I should have listed mine as 2010 instead of an 09. I got it well into 2010.

    2005 41,000 30
    2006 40,417 12
    2007 32,813 32
    2008 26,944 18

Upon reflection...it's probably slightly LOW since a value of 62,500 was used in the average for all entries over 60,000.

    2005 could be 75,000?
    2006 could be 70,000 ?

Guess that I could have made entry ranges up to 100,000 for each year (obviously overkill for 2010-2011) to be more exact.

There are a good number of entries in the 60,000 mileage range.

Think you've got a LOW MILEAGE GS/A? How would you prove it?

    1. Enter your mileage in the survey...and compare your results to everybody else!:clap

    2. Click on the EXCEL icon in Post #1...and see the average mileage by year...

Did you know the average rider logs about 5,600 miles per year? How does that compare to you?

I'd say that's true. 88k miles on my '07 and I know of several '07s over 100k miles but not sure if those owners have weighed in on the survey.
