    Just to give everyone a heads up on the Official Fall Gold Point 2013 rally weekend, we have locked in October 16 through 20th with Herb at the town of Gold Point so it's time to get our ride on!

    More Details about the weekend as we get closer to the ride, this is just a preview.......

    Several riders each year get together on either saturday or sunday and ride a loop about 180 miles through Death Valley seeing the crater, race track, down to saline valley and back there are some attached previous years ride reports. Other do road rides to death valley...there is just so much to see....if you like to ride you will love this trip.

    Reserve your full catered meals for all who are coming....

    Herb serves Breakfast and dinner make sure you let him know what meals you would like when you rsvp. The food is so good it's the only place you will gain weight after riding all day.

    He will also cook for those who arrive earlier in the week we just have to let him know when we rsvp our spots.

    It will be a weekend of riding for all bikes, road, adventure, dual sport, ATV's, 4wheelers, 4X4's etc...

    Looking forward to another excellent year of riding and for those who have never ridden there before you can ride 100 plus miles in any direction and see some amazing scenery. Trails from a rating of 0 to 10....

    Camping - There is plenty of open area to camp for tenters just pull up a spot with one of the RV's and call it yours. We are asked to give a donation for RV's and Tents. Tents are not expected to pay as much as the RV's.

    There is also restroom and showers available for tenters.

    RV Spots - Herb has 11 RV spots with electricty one with 50 amp, sewer, no water but a water tank for refills can be brought to the RV when needed.

    For those of you who have never been there or have been there before please use this thread to ask questions or share your experiences.

    We will be having daily rides, miles upon miles of trails and things to see. Gold Point is at the North end of death valley and you can gain access to death valley after just a few miles of dirt road.

    Some riders will be riding through Death valley to go sight seeing during the weekend.

    i read your 2012 m2w rr and you guys had a great time. lots of good riding for sure. cool website you got....and joined too.

    about a dozen of us, maybe even more, are talking about riding to gold point in late october or early november. btw, yesterday, i talked to the gp sheriff (herb?) and he mentioned this.

    love to join you guys, just need to work on my scheds.

    Many of us get up there Wednesday night and Thursday morning, and do three big loops in three days, Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

    excellent....love to check the area out and the northeast portion of dv.
    also, i like the idea of riding to wmrs from the back side.

    jr, i emailed herb (goldpoint) that we are canceling our reservation and instead we will be joining the las vegas riders.


    what is the quickest or best route coming from l.a.?

    i am thinking of the 14N-395N-168 @ 6 hours from my house.


    thanks 3UP for the info about the road condition. i assume that is the 168 and the main road to gold point.

    Yep. Breakfast is included in the cabin rental. Dinner is another $16.00 a meal. All payable in cash upon arrival. :deal
