    you guys are all too kind!
    i think "ebrew" called me about working on the CRF (and ... the CRFs are not that old!! WE may be, but the CRFs aren't!) 8~\
    anyway, we have the valve shims and know-how with these bikes. the CRFs (and other brand hi-perf thumpers) are known to get harder to start and idle as miles/hours stack up because the valves clearances get tighter.
