I removed the broken glass and replaced it with a piece of Lexan. Been there for 2 years now.

I had mine crack on the way back home on the Alaska Highway, I now have the TT guard on the bike and still have to fix the light.

I use the TT screen light guard, and you can see the screen at night with the headlight shining through it. Don't bother me though.

I like the BMW guard because it pops off when you need to clean it and it protects very well.

CeeBaily on mine, attach with heavy duty velcro, no change in the light pattern at all

I was going to suggest that but wasn't sure if the heat from the light would be an issue. Sounds like a good fix to me.

Doesn't seem to affect the lexan at all.
I used black Sikalex to fix it in and fill the gap between the Lexan and the surround.
Nobody realises unless you point it out.
Not concours you understand but gets the job done, and cheap.

Was looking for options as well as it seems I have a burn in on the headlight. I read that it's a real pain to remove. With heat of course.

Is that really a replacement glass or just a cover

I recently installed the Hepco Becker Headlight Guard on my F800GS to protect an upgraded headlight and the fit and finish are perfect. The install was very easy and it looks awesome. Got this from MotoMachines.com Very well priced and very well made

Buy a used headlight. I know where there is a perfectly good one with spare bulb.
