Two up on a Wee

I am getting my wife out on the back of my Wee and she's liking it.I'm trying to decide what kind of gear to get helmet color ,jackets ,and pants etc..I don't want us too dorky(yeah,yeah I know buy a GS) Does anyone have pics of them on the bike with their wife or GF ??

you are worried about matching colors? On a DL650?

Just buy gear that fits from newenough. If you want to color-match, get a goldwing.

Hint: Let her pick her own. and it should be the same quality as yours (or better).

This is the kind of question that makes me laugh.

Maybe with your internet availability you might look and read just a little more before asking a question such as this, particularly for colors. Matching Pinks would look great.

If in doubt, get better gear than you think you need.
Considerations,
- Liners, warmth (I buy gear with but never use, actually remove)
The fit with them is important. (e.g. long T-shirt and jeans) then when
riding with fleece jacket, long shirt, jeans and stockings, etc and no
warmth lining, then they still fit.
- breath-ability and venting
- padding and wear pads
- helmet hood and neck closure
- Kidney belt and zip together jacket/pants
- reflective (you can always buy little stick on patches from e.g. REI)
- ZIPPER quality !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have a Tourmaster Epic Jacket and Tourmaster Caliber Pants (black).
The jacket is excellent, the pants are suffering a little but then again I don't treat them easy, off roading.

When we ride two-up, I spend about 40% of the time on back. It's a nice place to nap while Mrs. Tedder is piloting.

Shouldn't this be in equipment?

We have identical gear....kinda cool.

She refers to our gear as our "lego man" outfit.

I like us having "Adventure Riding" gear.

When I read "Wee" and "don't want us too dorky" I almost sprayed my beer all over my monitor and keyboard...

I know, I know... what I am going to say will most likely upset some people! Chics on the back are cool... when there is a sportbike, g-string, and some ass present... as far as ADVenture riding... tell her... "get your own bike", and then we can go!! And as far as letting the lady drive your bike... AHHHHH:eek1. Why let your baby be driven by anyone other than you??

However, on a serious note!! I guess I might be some what jealous... my GF isn't into riding... hell not into Motorcycles... maybe its time for an up grade... oh and matching pinks... definitely (not)

I let my wife pick out her own gear. As long as it keeps her warm and dry I don't care.

I took my wife to our local shop and spent a few hours finding what she wanted. She picked colors that she liked, gear that was comfortable. I made sure the gear had proper protection and fit correctly.

We made a fun day of it.

My lady had some choice in her gear. I set the criteria on keeping her safe, warm/cool & dry. She got to pick out colours. Right now we both wear Gore Tex footwear, but they are not motorcycle boots. This winter we'll both be getting proper riding boots & she doesn't have any choice in the matter. She is getting Durban Gore Tex and I'll be getting the Adventure Gore Tex

Just piggy backing on the "two-up on a wee" theme here. I am looking at moving up to a vstrom 650, from a nighthawk 650, which is fun around town but has absolutely no room for a passenger or saddlebags of a decent size really. Just wondering on how the power is for two up riding? Probably about 370 lbs combined, with me taking up the bulk So far I have heard no complaints on power or space, but always looking for some input. Thanks!

With luggage my lady & I tipped the scales around 370 and we had no problems holding an actual 80-85 mph and still had power to pass
