How about it? Old and cool. Seca, Maxim, even a Radian or an FJ would be cool to see. Here's mine to start. 1982 Seca 750, with and without the fairing installed.
Another 750 Seca, but this one's a little different... Somewhere on the Lost Coast, a few years ago when it was still a 650... A pair of Secas in Fortuna; mine is the one on the right, after the 750 was installed. Highway 1, September '09 Closer to home- Sharps Creek, Lane County Oregon, a few weekends ago.
I love the Seca's! Here is me and my buddy back in the 80's I was in the Navy and bought a Seca in Ca. Came back home to IL and my buddy had the same bike! Mine is the one on the left Here is my Seca moments after it was pulled out of the crate, I built it pierside while I was in the Navy! A more recent photo, I just installed Turbo Seca Wheels and am updating the front brakes. The first long distance tour I did back in the 80's this pic was taken near Mt Rushmore

My Seca back in the day, it made at least 3 round trips from Indiana to VA Beach when I was in the Navy and a couple trips out west after I got out. It started life as a red one like Scotty's, got some minor motor mads and the pimpn' paint soon followed. If any of you guys run in to a red one or black with yellow/red stripes that's for sale pm me, I want another one. And I promise I will not treat it this way

My favorite seca was the 900 made in 83 only Same color red as the 82 750 but more a sport tourer with a bigger tank and nicer striping. piggyback adjustable rear shocks. I never had one but rode a couple back in the day when i worked as a mechanic at the local Yamaha shop. Always had a soft spot for the 550 Seca, here is a buddy of mine and his XJ550 at VMD earlier this year. Got to ride it quite a bit and it is real nice for a small bike, not temperamental at all.
So England had this model more than 1 year? We only had it for 1983 so it would have had the letter j at the end of the model name. f would be a 79 model. I think it was called a Diversion over there and a Seca here. I would probably still own it if I bought the one my dealer had at the time. later I bought my friends BMWR100rs and just sold it this spring after buying my Buell.The xj900 will always be the one that got away for me so rare around here that parts would be scarce too!
Bought some tuning forks off of Amazon.com and threw on my old V-star "Yamaha" side cover emblems. I'm still contemplating a round headlight conversion but I really like how the stock fairing works.

Bought this in '04: Nice "fuses": Traded it away looking it like this in '09: Bought this for $200, did some carb work, recovered the seat, painted it...a few things I've forgotten. Sold it for $1,000 like this: I'm kind of over the XJ's now.....I am getting my TT500 ready to go vintage flattrackin'! :)
I bought this 1982 Yamaha Seca 750 off a local inmate for a steal. I had to put the carbs back in, get new spark plugs, new battery and new fork seals and she's a solid runner. I really want a fairing for it. These bikes look awesome with the stock fairings. Sorry about the picture, I'll try to get better ones someday.
I think it's funny that the OP's name is leakypetcock since mine just started leaking a week ago. Ordered a rebuild kit last night so hopefully it will solve the issue. Anyone go from the vacuum operated petcock to a simple, on/off switch one?
