Where do they come up with those mufflers? That one looks like it's from Autozone.

It is actually from a video that is floating around on other threads and sites. The idiot driver did not stay with the bike for better view...

Hopefully it's disguised (tank, muffler) or that's one ugly bike. (and I'm a huge Triumph fan)

I'd bet it's missing some plastic between the headlight and the tank edges - the leading edge of the tank looks pretty raw, not 'sexy naked' raw, more of a 'we're going to hide it with trim' raw.

I think she's really pretty .... sure an oval muffler would be great
...much better than the 1050 plastic look imho

Is the tiger 1200 a real thing? And if so, will it be a 2012 or 2013 model?

Dunno - I can't find anything, either. I really want to like the 1200 though...

It only makes sense if the lads in Hinckley intend to increase the engine size of the Speed Triple, the Sprint GT and the Tiger. Considering this year's Speed Triple is all new, with the execption of the engine, would lead one to believe that a new motor is on the horizon. Add the fact that Triumph is giving $2,100+ in accessories to those who buy a new Tiger has me believing that they want to decrease the amount of Tiger accessories in the warehouses.

With the success of sport touring bikes, I can't imagine Triumph not jumping on the bandwagon with a new Trophy, which would need to be at least 1200cc's to allow it to compete with Kaw's C14, Yamaha's FJR1300, and BMW's K1300GT.

Me thinks we will see a new, bigger displacement triple on the showroom floors sometime soon.

Heard the new trophy will be released first. Suppose to be a 1200 with shaft drive.

Trophy is a comin'!! My dealer says that his info is very limited but it should be here "soon." Couldn't get him to pin that down but I wonder if the will let it remain a 1200cc or went back to bump it to closer to 1400cc. Just guesswork there but at least we have pics of the Trophy that you can see.

Tiger 1200 shaft is a logical progression,surely??

hopefully. The trophy will have too much fairing and is probably a little too heavy for my liking.

Reports are filtering through over here that the Trophy has been seen on UK roads a few times.
I'd hazard a guess that it'll be released before the Tiger variant. Hinckley will want to see what specs the new LC BMW GS has before launching a rival i guess.

I have changed gearing on every bike I have owned, but hey Im wierd that way.

x's 2 on the chain over shaft on the Tiger. Aside from the weight savings, I can carry an extra chain in my saddle bag, I can't carry a spare shaft......and though I will get hate mail from GS owners SHAFTS DO BREAK, and usually in the middle of nowhere.

Been riding 30 + years and with proper mtc. have never broke a chain. But if I am riding the Road of Bones, or through South America or some such, give me a chain and a spare over a shaft any day.
