This is from memory, so don't shoot me if anything has changed in the last year. :hide

    Gas:
    Circleville

Riverton (I think that place was still open)

Bartow (x2, one right at the intersection of 250/28/92, and another roughly where the map marker is)

Edit: Just noticed... "Laurel Fork is a geographical oddity. 25 miles from everything!" :rofl

This is my first time coming out to LF, would one say this more of a KLR event or more of a Wee event??:ear

It looks like I'll have more fun on the KLR, but my Wee has more storage for fluff!

Both are absolutely great options. I've been to multiple. This isn't a hardcore race, or even sanctioned event.

Ride the bike you feel like riding. Link up wit all the cool people at the site, ride with some that seem to be riding similar and have fun.

There isn't a regular loop that most will be riding that my Tiger hasn't conquered (albeit with some convincing here and there). Some guys ride monster 1250 adv's and cover most of the state in one weekend, others ride 250 thumpers (and even an occasional Rukus..hburg) and tear up the back dirt roads. But either are fine and fun. It's up to you.

Don't you hate it when parts of your engine come out with oil during an oil change?

Jaxobsessed sent me a new part for my engine when it broke last week. Got that assembled last night, but as I drained the oil to install it, a part from the camshaft bearing fell into the oil pan.
With all this excitement during the preparations, I can't wait to see what will happen during the ride and at the campsite!

Still not sure if I'll be coming this year, or at least on what bike I'll be there. Might have to just take the Ninja and not go on the dirt rides. Or maybe I'll just spend my vacation in the garage so I can make it next year. We'll see.

    I...er.....what? :huh

You might have me confused with someone else. I know of one guy who rode a Ninja 250 from Key West to Prudhoe, but it was not I.
I'm the guy who's famous for taking a girl to Reddish Knob.

I've been swamped work-wise since January and won't make it but was just up there Sunday and took these photos. The NF roads are in great shape!

It's cool and beautiful during the day and low to mid 30's at night, so take the warm bag. Yes, that's still some of the white stuff:

Awesome, put it where your tent and sleeping bag would normally go.

    Priorities.:lol3

Tell Ms.Informed thanks. I've tried this at home and it's nowhere as good as her's at Laurel Fork.

The TKC's are mounted, panniers are packed, and the flask is full. Now all I need is some good beer and a few steaks and I'll be set. See you boys and girls tomorrow.
