Hey no shit (I mean as in "that is cool", not like "yeah, no kidding")...I was just looking at Yahoo and saw that. I'm pretty psyched. I figure that anyone that Alaskans would elect is a "no bullshit", "by the bootstraps" kind of person. So, OK, I know that I'm casting a broad stroke...but I have my misconceptions and preconceived notions... I'm hoping I'm right. I'd love to have a pragmatic, non-whiner in the running on either side.
Hey Y'all, I really, truly wish her and her family the very best during the runout of this incredible, historic gig. She's making/taking a tremendous leap for Women, Alaska, and, I pray, for the USA. What a gal! We can also find solace in that we know she's ready for Washington D.C.:fully accustomed to pitching guts and carcasses, and has her own chest waders... still, that cesspool in D.C. will be a challenge! Thank You to all Alaskans who voted, too! None of this would be even a footnote during this election, except that y'all trusted her enough to vote her in... that's noteworthy!

OK, so I'm from NJ, right, probably not entitled to an opinion...but I think that Alaska and few other states still have what it takes to produce non-simpering, DIY citizens. McCain fired his campaign manager because the guy said America is full of whiners, or some such. He was right. I don't know if "we" (you, me, others here who are "DIYers" and who take responsibility for their actions/inaction--I can provide a better explanation of what I mean if that's too weird) are in the minority or if the whiners just have the amplified mic...but I'm glad that someone with some hutspa has got a shot!
