Paid $7750. 9300 miles, ABS, heated grips, Remus exhaust, hard bags, running lights. Can't travel to pick it up till next week. Any thoughts on this bike or my purchase would be helpfull. Thanks in advance.

Love these bikes, never sold well here in the US but they were availlable in other parts of the world up to 2008. Wonderful suspension and handling. And not very tall in the saddle like other BMW's.

It's a wolf in sheeps clothing, kinda like an R1200S that can carry hard bags and will turn a weekend ride into a week long ride if you wanted.

The tombstone headlight was a styling stretch but you won't care when riding in the dark - best halogen stock headlight of any BMW. The GT and LT Xenon's are good but the 12ST head light rocks for night riding.

    Congrats.

That bike will go down as one of the best bikes BMW never sold (very many of).

AAhhhh nice! I looked at the ST VERY hard when I was shopping for a new bike in '07 and almost bought a used '07 black/red one from Atlanta BMW had less than 500 miles on it. I thnik it is a cool ass bike, if I ever got the opportunity for a good deal like you just scored I'd probably jump all over it. Good roads, and oh yeah

I wish I had never sold my ST, wonderful bike and great on the road. Never any problems and the absolutely best headlight ever. The guy who bought it is in love with it as well. If ever I get the money, I will have another one. I put 30K miles on it and took it on a 3300 mile week long trip and just couldn't stay off it. Cruised all day and never had monkey butt or any pain. I know the looks killed it for most people, but it was wonderful bike.

Thanks for the replies. I'll get some pics asap. Feel like the time in 10th grade when I had the new yz125 in the garage and couldn't wait to ride it. I put 22K on my Buell XB12R in 2 years and can't wait to get onto this beast.

Even with as ugly as they are, for that price, i'd ride the crap out of it. Congrats on the new (to you) bike.

Look for it commuting between Farmington and Pueblo until I sell a house here. Then between Colorado Springs and Pueblo. Just got a copy of the title. Should pick it up next week. I took a job in Pueblo but my wife wanted to live in the Springs. She mentioned I could get a new bike for the commute. I bought this one 2 days later.

I had one just like it. One of the very few bikes I hung on to for over two years.

Very few niggles with the bike. It does everything very well. Nice freeway ride and very planted in high speed sweepers.

Just traded my 2009 Tmax for a 2006 R1200ST 5 days ago. You really have to see it in person. I'm loving it!
