    HOLY CRAP!!!! That really sucks!
Heal quickly and thoroughly. Busted ribs SUCK!!

    worth repeating.
    Be careful out there dudes!

A deer tried (and damn near succeeded in) killing SoPaRider right by Long Pine Run reservoir. Caved in his chest.

What we do, as motorcycle riders, is dangerous. I'm still gonna go out there in an hour or so and push that button. Even a short commute on a motorcycle is often the best time I'll have all day.

That does SUCK! Hoping you heal good and fast. We all have to be Bambi aware but to be more proactive we all must eat more deer jerky... Hear that H14 :ear

Jax on a much lighter note, there will be cupcakes in the media library today and you know they won't last long.

Take care and heal fast. Glad to hear you were wearing good protective gear. I have learned my lesson and wear mine 95% of the time now.

Ouch! I feel your pain because it happened to me last October. Be patient because it is a slow healing process.

Welcome to the club! I was flown out of michaux to Hershey the week before.

Did you get a hat from the copter crew? I was told they used to do that. I didn't get a hat. :-(

Was yours from a deer too?

Maybe we need to organize an ADV deer hunt in Michaux to make things safer for us...

No hat from the copter crew. They were really nice though. They just couldn't believe I had no abrasions on me. I'm all for a massive deer hunt. I hope the one that jumped out on front of me is dead. I'm telling you gents, don't take for granted for a second that one of these mother effers jumping out in front of you won't hurt. It happened so fast, look down, look up, deer, oh shit, bam. And for heavens sake make sure your cell phone is in a protected place, and fully charged before you leave, or take your spot tracker with you. It's a deceptively big place. I was able to lead them right to me with my IPhones GPS co ordinates. Ride safe dudes, ride with a buddy for sure. If I could change one thing, that would be it. Safety in numbers.

I don't remember anything of the crash. I was on the MORE trail ride. As best I can tell, something went wrong and I did a face first swan dive onto a boulder or two.

The rule of thumb we used to tell our MSF students: "If you can eat it in one meal, just run over it".
