Thunder Rally 2013... October 25-27

<HR style="COLOR: #575757; BACKGROUND-COLOR: #575757" SIZE=1><!-- / icon and title --><!-- message -->The 32nd DOCNSW Thunder Rally at Sheba Dams is well into its preparation and will be held October 25th (Fri) to 27th (Sun). The organisers are hoping that a shift in date might see sunnier skies (read warmer). I am still packing the woolens, brrr...For entry details and heaps of pics' go here;

And while making changes, why stop with one? A few others are afoot but more later when detail is confirmed.



What won't change...

• All proceeds of the Rally will be donated to Morwong Rehab Unit @ Ryde

• All motorcyclist are welcome @ the beautiful Sheba Dams site... and there are fish in them thar dams so bring your favourite hunting stick.

• There are loos there, and fresh water (from the dam, so boiling is suggested).

• The Lions club will have the usual fare on Saturday night and Sunday morning, as well as T and coffee.

• Monster Raffle with over $4000 of prizes (generously provided by our sponsors).

• There will be the usual 16 Awards for the Longest Distance everything as well as the crowd favourite.. Longest Distance Stuffed Cat!!!

There are more than six thousand unreal motorcycling routes to Nundle from all points of the compass, sealed and unsealed, easy to difficult. You choose.

I like the TTT, Richard and Sonja are great hosts and I love the ride in and out, if things work out I'll be there.

No, numbers have been good. Bad years = 180ish, good = 300ish. Bill is the Thunder die hard with 30 attendances of the 31 rallies to date.

Here are details for this year's Thunder Rally, follow the link. When=October 25/26/27th. Where=Sheba Dams Recreation Area (Nundle, 40k south of Tamworth). We have solid raffle prizes, including vouchers for bike gear and more! We ask that you fill out the form and send it in asap to help us get it right on the day!...AND...spend 2 minutes sending the info along to your group of fellow riders etc. Every dollar we save on postage, is another dollar we can give the Spinal Unit! By doing this you are taking your place along with the 9000+ riders who have travelled 8,000,000+ks supporting this concept over the last 31 years. Well Done! It's a wonderful ride and a beautiful rally site. Don't forget your fishing gear, some excellent trout have been caught right at the site! (exceeding 4kilo!). google says no dirt road to this from Nundle if that is ya choice , is this correct

No dirt from Nundle to the site which is about 6klm from town.
