Armored Core is one of my favorite PS games.....ever. It was almost as good as the Colony Wars series.

It's hard as hell to play with no analog sticks though.

Plus it looks terrible on a 50" screen.

After getting sucked in to black ops, then going back and playing the modern warfares over the last month, I was bored last night and decided to start a new game of FO3. Man, I forgot how good that game rolls along. I played for what seemed a little while, and figured I'd stop for the night, possibly go catch the 11 news before bed. Went upstairs, and it was 1:50. :lol3

I loved that game too! I really need to get it for my PS3 though. I can't seem to get it to work anymore on my laptop. :cry Maybe next fall, no time to play it now that summer is coming! :clap

Currently without a windows installation and I'm trying to take a break from gaming, as I am very busy with other things lately (I'm also into motorbikes by the way :deal)...

Cold turkey has worked fine but the notifications from this thread keep bringing me back.. Now I have withdrawal symptoms...

I'm torn between Portal 2 and LA Noire. Amazon has a deal on LA Noir where you get instant $15 credit. I'll wait on Portal 2 a bit longer. LA Noir comes out tomorrow!

I dont understand why rockstar used the PS2 graphics engine for LANoir.

Even red dead redemption looked better.

The engine is completely new as the technology for facial recognition also is. Rockstar isn't really known for cutting-edge graphics in any of their games though. I think this is Team Bondi's first game. It's also getting a lot of good buzz from the media.

BTW: any official clips you see are typically done on the Xbox.

    Wow, that's even worse.

The faces do look better, but just about any other game beats the pants off of it with facial detail.

Everything else looks like a late PS2 game rendered in a higher definition.

The concept of the game sounds really cool, but all the previews I see I just cand get past it.

I'm used to PC gaming so everything looks worse. :lol3 Still, as long as the graphics look decent, I can see past it as long as the story/gameplay is riveting. There are a lot of good actors who have lent their voice to this game as well. The facial recognition and micro movements look really good.

Well, I have to say the graphics look pretty good. The hardest part is learning how to read people's behaviors and micro movements. Lots of different (real) cars that you can hop into. LOADS of story that you have to keep track of. So far I'm liking it a lot.

    Looks good enough to me:

If the story is great it'll be a hit.

BeezWife and i played it for about 2 hours last night. I love it, she likes it too, together we will rid the 1940's L.A. streets of crime. We haven't done too well in the interrogation parts but are doing well in finding clues and I'm good at the shoot-outs because it works like the GTA games.

The graphics are good but I think the cut scenes are made using the in-game graphics, not using some other technique like in other games. (correct me if I'm wrong)
