I have a leaking clutch slave cylinder.
Changed o-ring once but problem came back.
Thinking about Sigutech slave cylinder piston.

    http://www.sigutech.com/english/e-knz-kolben/

    Has anyone tried it?
Is the company still in business?
Tried to contact them but didnt get any reply.
    Thanks

I have been using a Sigutech slave for the last 20.000 km, no problems..

To my knowledge, still in business..Well their Fb site looks kinda dead..

Could you tell if the cylinder is scored at the inner surface, or the piston is cracked close to the nipple?

    All seem ok.
Guess the piston some times gets little side ways and thus allowing oil to leak.
This why I am looking for the option to just change the piston and not the entire slave cylinder.
Havent found someone else selling just the piston and Sigutech seems out of bussiness.

my piston was scored cleaned up with a little emery cloth and put a new oring in so if anyone ever needs one in a emergency i could send it to them.

my guess is it got scored contacting the cylinder surface. That means the cylinder is also scored. Orings cannot seal a scored cylinder, they will fail in a short time.
    New cylinder needed.
    My $0.02
    Cheers.

I wont disagree. Most probably you are right.
Just thought i could take my chances since there is big difference in price.
Seems there is no such option since Sigutech seems out of business and no one else makes just the piston.
So there is just Oberon for the whole cylinder slave.

Mine went "out" the other day.
    Checked o-ring: Fine
    Piston: Fine

Hit the barrel with 2000 grit, siliconed the o-ring and re-installed.
Went to bleed it and the line nut under the bleeder moved with the bleeder.
    Snugged it down, bled, fine!

    Sometimes it's the details.

You can copy it at a workshop. The sealing is accomplished with the oring, so no need for super smooth surfaces. If the piston is the faulty part, it isn't too expensive to fabricate one on lathe. Just keep the bottom of the bearing ball slightly shallower (1mm) to avoid cracking of the piston.
    Cheers.

I bought my piston from Sigutech's german site. Just used Google translate to handle the communication and everything went smoothly. This wasn't recent, but still.

I've heard very good things about the Sigutech unit from many RC8 users. I just don't want to buy something in Europe and pay a fortune for shipping, currency exchange, VAT (that's 20% alone if they don't remove it) plus my own Canadian customs duties.
