Hello, I'm a newbie and this is my first post....although I have been featured in a few ride reports. Can I have a show of hands of women riders in the group??
Hi Giddyupgirl, Welcome. Glad you started this thread. I'd be interested to know how many women are on this site.
Oh :eek1 Welcome to the asylum. There are a bunch of excellent women riders amongst the testosteronies, hopefully you can make an ADVrider event and actually get to meet some of us FF's.
GSgal, why are you holding out on these fine folks? I know there is another bike in your stable. 'Fess up!!!!
Shhhh, Lucky Bum! Only me and the DMV need to know! If I could ride one bike as well as half these other folks, I wouldn't need 3 in my stable.
Don't go low rating testosterone. It goes well with beer and ribs! Put gas in it and ride it! xr400 aprilia caponord
You're just delirious, Luckybum. That 726 mile day tweaked something in your noggin. But give it time... you'll heal. When it does, c'mon out and ride!
Howdy gals, I'm located in Washington (PNW) and have been riding street bikes since high school and just started dirt riding about three years ago. I currently own a GS650 and a Yamaha Virago 750 cruiser. I've also enjoyed my other half's bikes which are Cagiva Gran Canyon 900, ATK 605 and his XT 600. Only issue I have on those is that I can't touch the ground so turning them around is a pain. I also enjoy 4x4's, horses, monster trucks, photography, wrenching on my 4x4's ('79 Bronco & '77 F150), hiking, camping and much more. Let's ride and show the guys what we are made of.
I can totally relate to the can't touch the ground issue! But, I can't let that stop me! Still have a lot to learn about wrenching on mechanicals but Im determined. My 1st 4X4 was a 77' Bronco, it had 14" glass packs(sp.?) It took me everywhere in Alaska. I still smile about that ride! There oughta' be a girl's ride out! Make it soon!
I'd love to do a girl's ride out. However, Washington St is a long way from the flatlands of Illinois. Although, I'd love to ride out there.... if only I didn't have to work Any gals out there in or around Northern IL interested??
Glad you like the avatar. Nice work on the sidestand. I have a service manual, it does'nt adress after market mods. and the pics are tuff to read! Plus, the wiring diagram reads like swahili to me. My weatherpoof outlet was on just in time for a 10 day ride thanks to the precise and excellent wiring skills of a friend! Now, no riding til' I replace both sprockets, chain, swingarm chain slider, chain guard and rear tire! I dont mind, accept that I wanna ride s'more!
