OK... for those of you who've expanded yer range on a KTM...

Which tank do you recommend?? My main concern is that I want the ergonomics to stay the same... I want to be able to grip the tank... hence I don't want some crazy 5 gallon behemoth...

I'm thinking a 3.5 gallon would be perfect!

Cycle hut has a KTM tank that is in that range... anybody have it??

Can you grip the tank with it?? Or is it too wide??

Looking for some first hand expertise before I make the purchase!

The hardparts "mxc" style with fuel in the shrouds is excellent. Not far from stock ergos and good grip, (I am the same way). Orange is translucent enuf to see fuel too.

I bought the KTM 13 liter tank for my 2010 530 EXC, KTM P/N 7800701313344.

$280 + shipping $54 (along with a couple other parts) from Munn Racing (with KTM Talk discount).

KTM Hutt wants $329 plus oversize shipping charges (you'll have to call them up to find out what they are).

Munn includes the screws that KTM Hutt does not include.

The gas tank included a complete petcock, no gas cap.

I have not ridden any "real" dirt yet, it feels just like the stock tank between the knees.

I can post a picture if you want.

Check out justgastanks.com too. I have the safari 4 gal. It's between the 3.1 Clark and the 6.6 Acerbis. It is pricey though!

I don't have first hand experience with this tank. Looks like it carries the fuel low and it's 3.3g.

    Have to pimp justgastanks.com.

My Clarke 3.2 developed a leak after being 6 months old, I contacted them and they sent me a brand new tank no questions asked. They even sent me a translucent one at my request! (original one was orange)

    Now that's customer service!

I know it's an old thread but who makes that rear disk guard with the orange in it?
