Identify this Shoei DS helmet

    Peak shape and mouth vent are definitely different. The OP's link has a stock photo of the Hornet before the "actual photos" and you can easily compare.

    The peak shape at the tip is different profile; the top connection screw is exposed; there are two additional chimney vents; there are only 2 rows of venting in the mouth vent (3 on the current Hornet).

    Not sure about older models, but I think the peak looks longer (a good thing), but it might not be as aero (may be bad if you ride a lot of highspeed miles).

    it's an older hornet never imported officially into the us. i got one maybe 5 years ago direct from japan.

    get the newer version!

    As I suspected, though I think the older one has better lines. I have the newer one, but it's seen better days. Thanks.

    Yeah I was going off the lines off the chinbar.. I got rid of my Hornet because the peak was totally useless..went to the XD4 and dont regret it.
