Finally able to get my Adventure...Picked up a nicely prepped 08 from a great guy in Mobile AL. After the 950 mile "road test" home...I haven't stopped riding it.
About a week after I got back it was off to Palm Coast FL for a visit with my mom then home again...and from there it's been my daily driver for work (about 100 miles /day)

Owned it just over 4 weeks and I've put on just over 4,000 miles...started with 8,700 :D

Qwik, nice tanks. I've been wanting a set like that. For now I just carry 2 rotopax.

Any suggestions for short rides in the area? Something simple and offroad after a workday. We are working on nearby Newell Creek Dam and staying in Santa Cruz.

Ive also already pulled the rear wheel off and trimmed the mud guard so I don't damage the swing arm and pulled the chain tension bolts to coat with anti-seize. Anyone run CJ designs folding mirrors? Think I'm gonna order a set.<a href="http://s1168.photobucket.com/albums/r488/beemakilla/?action=view&amp;current=IMG_0393.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="https://www.advrider.com/advrider-photobucket-images/images/b/beemakilla_IMG_0393.jpg" border="0" alt="KTM 990 Adventure, New graphics!!"></a>

    Steel headlight guard-Touratech
    Skid Plate-Black Dog
    Side stand relocate-Black Dog
    Side guards-Motech
    Front tire-Metzeler Karoo
    Rear tire-Dunlop 908R
Front fender (high)-KTM 690R with bits to make my own

Custom designed graphics-I designed it but sister is the graphic designer to do the technical
stuff. Print and install will be done by IGNITION GRAPHICS in Calgary.(10 minutes from my place.

Thinking about the Hepco and Becker Jesse panniers. I like that they can move fore and aft for better weight distribution.

I'll post the completed bike sooner than later I hope!
