Want something for my next trip to the uk ... was thinking of a 1150 gs .... how much are they over there now .... would like to take it up to Norway Finland Sweden or of i cant do that some of that road book i gave u might be cool
Why does it have to be a German tractor? You can pick up a good quality Tiger955i for £3K which'll come with luggage. Large, comfy, effortless bikes. http://www.autotrader.co.uk/search/...c/body-type/adventure/sort/recpriceascdefault And don't worry about miles on these. I know plenty with high miles and they're still sweet. Mine's done 67000 miles without problems.
Had a 2002 tiger before .... don't want another one .... to big and heavy, only good for motorway riding
geez mate its just your view and your showing that you know sweet fa about bikes .... had one dont like the top heavy piece of shit
I have to say I agree with Black tiger on this one though never ridden either! Orlando, long time no see, what you on these days? Sorry busy Sunday, though may have to look in there some time.
derek, on a bmw xchallenge, living down in southampton now so get to hit wiltshire pretty often. don't get up to the lanes in surrey too much. definitely get to bagshot some time - the blorc take it over and it's a great mixture of gravel trails, hill climbs and single track that you can ride as pretty much as fast as you like how's you? still on the adventure? chris
Well I will have to get out on the plain again before long, and yes still on KTMs only bike I will ever need!
Hi Just found this thread after seeing some lad on big bikes near Leith Hill (Surrey). Is there a group (apart from TRF as they tend to have the smaller bikes), nearist to me (Horsham - Sussex), or general ride outs on dirt? I used to ride a lot of trails but had the knees done and so I'm now on the GS1200A, which is pretty useful.....unless you drop it, and then you need at least another pair of hands. Cheers Andy
No group as such. Just some mates getting together once in a while. I have to say (at risk of putting a few noses out of joint) unfortunately it's the same old story. Same old couple of people come up with a route and several others turn up and follow. Then those followers sit back and wait for the same couple of people to do it again. At least, that's the impression I get. I've led rides down to Wiltshire and around Kent. I'm waiting for someone to return the favour. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tM-TruJaF6A I always find a ford or two. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cSX7Q1lNz_E http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x0eVjpq6MNY
If you want to meet up for a look at local lanes or maybe a jaunt to Salisbury plain send us a PM, I am near Boxhill.I do not know of a regular local group of big trailies there were a few in Surrey TRF but they seem to have gone quiet recently.
Hi all. I'm in Kent just joined this forum. Know the lanes around mid Kent really well if you ever want a ride out there's a few of us with 990.. Planning some trips for next year as well. Be good to meet up with some new faces on bigger bikes. Tel
Look forward to that when my knee is hopefully sorted! How do you feel about tarmac only. I am a regular at Wessons in Horam.
Will ride on any surface I'm not fussed just happy to be on my bikes.. Been doing lanes and racing enduro for a few years and now want to do a few nice trips around Europe also got a 690 enduro r with the rally kit for big rally champs next year maybe. Hope to meet you soon.. I live near charing, pilgrims way so pretty central to a lot of lanes
Tiger needs some TLC over winter after a 14000 mile year with quite a bit of the rough stuff but love to join you next year when things, hopefully, start to dry out. I don't like it too sloppy. :eek1
