Hi ya Simon, the snow was from the recent Bannockburn trip, February, smack bang in the middle of summer… crazy weather! As always, there was a fish in that pool, I have never actually pulled my fishing gear out on that stretch of water however I’d safely say those fish see a huge number of visitors/anglers through the summer period considering the holiday park is 2 mins down the road, I'd say they will be extraordinarily clued up and not the easiest to fool with a fly.

They are breeding pair of Burrowing Death Snakes, you have to ride past them quickly or they will pounce on you and devour both you and your bike :D

Seriously, the truth is not nearly as exciting, they are bails of hay...

Well I've recently (temporarily) moved to the wet West Coast of New Zealand and after a week of pretty heavy rain, I finally manged to sneak out for more of a look around today.

    From Hokitika beach.......

.....to the mountains and always stunning Lake Kaniere:

I also poked my nose down some interesting looking side tracks, I definitely will be going back to explore those some more.
