    Bashadv,

What do you think of the Barrett muffler?

    Are you satisfied with it?

    Noise level?

Finally here I am posting pics of my F800GS.

First I bought the bike new and had it shipped in its box directly to Kigali, Rwanda. It arrived in my garden one Friday evening and I spent the weekend assembling it and putting all the phase I farkles (bach plate, SW Motech crash bar, HID, Vario. I also got rid of the horrible stock tires and replace them with Heidenaus:

Rwanda is an awesome place to ride, very safe and clean generally. "Land of a Thousand Hills" gives you an idea... no boring straight roads anywhere! This is the Tea plantations of Gishwati:

Then I got tired of the front suspension and put in Hyperpros. First time I did forks and going to the next bike shop was not an option... I had to figure it out by myself but it was actually quite easy.

Middle of nowhere near the Virunga volcanoes range, where the Gorillas can be found:

The "Helicopter" as the Rwandese call it. Always makes a big impressions with kids and grown-up alike
    [IMG]

One of the best "accessory" for riding in Rwanda: A local buddy! ;-)

Now with MIVV exhaust. The awesome sound is a real security upgrade here. Streets of Kigali can be verrrry bad:

I am so lucky. Even in the middle of the capital Kigali there are dirt roads everywhere. this is one of my favorite shortcut, usually only taken by pedestrians. Even Land Cruisers do not dare come here, too narrow

    My F800GS:
BMW Bash plate, SW-Motech crash bar, HID lamps, Hyperpro springs front and rear, Vario case, Mivv exhaust, 15x42 sprockets, MemJet.

Coming soon: Excel wheels, QD Headers, Bitubo fork kit, aux HID, RK chain, lots of protection parts.

I saw the MIVV on a F800GS in the muffler thread here and I immediately knew it was the one for me! I haven't checked in a while but I remember that the MIVV's website had a reference for the F800GS and they even have a Youtube video of a bench run with it! I think you have to search Suono and not the other one they make.
    Try: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KUz5Wp6NYpA

The fit was perfect and installation took 15 minutes, no problem there.

Stock can: muted (and way too big and too hot)
MIVV with db killer: Don't remember, I had it for 2 minutes
    MIVV without db killer: :D:ear:eek1

Down by the border. kkug brought his 800GS along too, you can see him waiting on the bank behind me i the first picture. I woulda called it a river but then all those who live where there are real rivers woulda called me out on it. But you're right, in my book it was a river.

Another Q@A for Dutrizoo. Does self assembly mean a void BMW warranty? Not that that is necessarily a bad thing. And concidering you seem to be virtually in the middle of nowhere I guess the roadside assistance ain't gonna help. On top of that you seem to be quite capable of handling it all yourself. But what if you thrash the clutch? Or a Rhino rams his horn thru the engine? You just gonna pay for new stuff?
