Highland Park Hare Scamble- ADV class

I'll make a separate thread once I confirm some details but for now here's the scoop:

Looks like Paul is going to put on two more Hare Scramble races at Highland Park. I did the one back in November with FastDirt505 and really had a good time. The course is pretty easy, plenty of passing opportunities, and you can hang around and ride the rest of the day if you want as well.

Dates that he has announced tentatively:

Sept 29 - Fall Classic

Oct 27 - Zombie Run! (not sure what this is, but sounds like fun!)

Now for the fun part! Paul has agreed to run another Adventure class for the big bikes. Last year it was the V-twin class but IMHO as long as it's over 400lbs, I'm good with it running in the ADV class. So if you want to come out and run your ADV class bike, bring it on! Last year I ran my 950 in the race and had a blast! There were three of us, two on KTM 950's and one guy on a BMW 1200 (HP2e). Hopefully we'll get some more folks out this year.

I'll post up more details and it's own thread when I get a few more details, but for now mark your calenders.

Pass it around, especially if you know of someone with an ADV bike that would be interested, would be nice to see a whole line of big bikes ready to rumble!

I had planned on racing that last even but something came up. Really enjoyed watching the videos of the big bikes go thru there. I am trying to make both of these races; especially the Zombie Run. Don't know what it is but sounds fun and that is my favorite time of year to ride. I will be riding a "small" bike though. The husaberg 570. Y'all have fun on those big bikes!

Am I correct to assume that the side of the road campsites on Corbin creek road will be full of morons come fourth of July weekend? Want to to go camping with some friends but want to avoid any and all members of the general public. Any hints for dispersed camping in the area with the intent to avoid all human contact?

Check with the Mayor... He is a Moran but he's easy to deal with.

Maybe for you guys... But I know exactly how it would go for me if I had a 2 stroke 500. I can see the roadside memorial and hear all the "what a dumbass" comments.

+1 The first and only time I rode a CR500, it put me into a tree in less than 2 minutes. Or maybe it was the other way around.
