I work right across the road from Hoeys, was a huge horrific fire with a few explosions. Although one got burnt they were lucky, could have been much worse. Never seen so many Fire engines, Ambos and Police in 1 spot before.

Sounds like they've lost all of his father's bikes, stacked at the back there somewhere......sad stuff. As you say, no lives lost......you just never know!

I have ridden it a couple of times from the railcrossing about 10km's north of Tailem to as far as Alawoona.
The track beside the line was easy enough. From Karoonda heading north there is also a single track that winds its way through the mallee between the line and the road and would give anyone a work out.

I see your close by, PM if you want to catch up I can give you all I've got.

    Evening Fellas,
Just watching the ABC news (Taped) and saw Peter Hoey's family workshop up in flames this morning, very sad day for the Hoeymakers, employees and anyone in the bike community,
Hope no one was badly hurt,

    all the best,
    Meggs

Amazing roads MB you will have a ball. I did not imagine you ever riding single track:rofl but here we are. Just made it back from the Simpson, both me and the bike a little battered but nothing major. It serves me right for following the other two on some clay on the first day. All good, looking forward to you next post.
    Cheers Tony

Listening to the SA assistant Police Commissioner on the wireless this morning and he say's," They're not looking to change the current law regarding motorcycle filtering."

"Apparently its already legal to filter in stopped traffic on both the left and right sides" :huh :deal

    Who'd a thunk ? :confused

Has anyone seen it in writing ?

Just got back from a 10 day trip using a Helinox chair one. What a great invention very comfortable and user friendly. While forwarding the net details to an inmate I noticed they have a new one on their line called ground chair it is quite a bit lighter and got me interested. but it sits quite a bit lower.
Any inmates around in Adelaide or close got one. I would love to have a look.
    Cheers Tony
