Hi. I thought I would get these in here, rather than in my presentation topic.

This is a small sample of the scenery one can find in my beautiful country. These are all places I've visited on my CB and are in no way a decent sample of what one can see here. I blame that on the lousy cameras I used as well as on my lame photographer skills.

This is me in full gear, (except the gloves, which are camera-shy):

Sorry to disagree, but you got some pretty nice shots posted. Beautiful country and you captured it well.

    Kudos!

Thanks for that. I hope to tour Portugal sometime.

Nice pics and bike. I test rode a CB1R - is that right ? - once & was very impressed. Bit low geared and too revvy but loads of fun.

Very much like my S1 Buell in essence :D

Short geared and too revvy sounds about right. That's the CB1000R. Part of the reasons that made me buy it and this week made me sell it. Excelent in the right conditions.

I have to get me a decent camera... the subjects are there, and I'm getting the hang of this... it's just these lame lenses that don't keep up. Anybody want to contribute to me posting better photos? :ricky I'll take whatever decent second-hand dslr you may have laying around :D

If you look closely, you'll see someone breaking 2 of these rules. If it were me, I would jump of the boat and do the hat trick.

I'm so glad you did this thread - really love these photos. I'm going to be in Lisbon on business in February and would like to get in a play day on a bike. Let me know if there is a particular rental/tour company you would recommend and what would be a good day trip. I traveled up the coast in the Fall of '07 (by car) - huge surf at the lighthouse in Nazare! Gorgeous weather too - wonder if February can be as good? Thanks for any suggestions.

Ever since I read 'The Year of the death of Richardo Reis' I've always wanted to go to your country.

I will get there one day, and hopefully talk with Pessoa as well, like Richardo did.

The easy answer would be this.

I would probably go for a better known rental company. Perhaps you should try this one.

Assuming you will be in Lisbon, I would definitely try Sintra.

It's quite close to Lisbon. I've been meaning to ride there for some time. I've been in Sintra on my CB, but I was heading to the South of Portugal, so it was a really short "stay".

You will need to be lucky with the weather. It will be cold, and there should be a couple of days of sunshine, but I wouldn't count on them too much.

This is probably the easiest way you can get in touch with Pessoa. I doubt he will be very responsive, though :D
