Total rip off of the KTM SM, just uglier. I know of what I speak, I ride one, and looking at this thing, mine is getting a whole lot better looking!!

You think ABS is going to save you from a diesel spill? :rofl:poser:oscar:jack

I'd love to see how you would ride a bike with ABS in such conditions.

I have, and it did - ABS saved my butt a couple of times over the last 5 years (twice on a 990 Adventure, incidentally - neither would have been a big crash, but not hitting the asphalt is always a better option, eh?).

If the spill is where you get on the brakes, with the bike still upright, then ABS can definitely prevent you from losing the front by ensuring that braking force remains proportional to the available traction.

I'm mostly just curious, about the running characteristics of the revamped motor... :*sip*

Me too. That long-stroke, lazy motor in the F800R was my main fault with the bike. 900 better be a lot snappier. :pierce

think this one's still in the fabled Unicorn status...rare, fleeting, we won't see many if any. It's still a tough US market to import new models into. There was a thread a while ago about the top 10 selling bikes in Italy. I'd love to see the top 100 selling models in the US of 2011 if anyone has anything?

thinking/guessing June/July of 2012 if we're gonna see a Nuda in the States.

I'll see if i can sneak a demo ride when it comes over here.

Ash didn't exactly seem thrilled by it but it's all subjective, innit?

I've seen it and sat on it last Saturday in Milan.

In my opinion it is way too roughly made for premium segment bike. Lots of sandcasting, bad paint, enduro-style panelling, no attempt to put even small side cover on horribly fugly radiator that looks like straight from Beemer F.
Questionnable ergos for me, spartan clocks and overall impression of a bit of Chinese cheapo.

Same impression from couple of my friends and another one said it does not matter and I am nitpicking. Perhaps it isn't, but new Duke 690 looks like MV Agusta quality-wise in comparison. And this is road bike, it has to be a bit better "polished" IMO.
Seat is way worse than one on Duke too. A bit of parts-bin by looks of it.
One on podium with model on it looked better (well polished) than 2 down on stand available to sit on.
Of course this is subjective. I just do not see why someone would choose it over 70 bhp 150 kg new Duke 690 priced for Europe at 7500 Euro (to give you idea - WR450 priced at 8500 Euro here).
Still, more different bikes is better anyway.

I find it ugly too, but that's purely subjective.
