Looks to be a fun trip. Only thing I would be doing going up north is super slab. I would get lost otherwise and not the fun way. I guess that's why I haven't done it yet. You got this via Crapatalk
Right, so the guesses are spot on! I took the egg to Grayson Highlands State Park in VA. We hiked up to the Appalachian Trail, got the tent set up, hiked around, got some pics, and got back to the tent just as the rain started around 700pm. You can see the rain coming to the right: It rained all night long but stopped early this morning. Unfortunately, it started back just before dawn and I ended up braking camp in the rain. It was quite a bit colder than I anticipated but, thank the Lord, I had just enough gear and a warm down sleeping bag. I think I only got about two hours of sleep though... So, here are the final pics of my time with the Egg. He is placed at the entrance to Grayson Highlands State Park on Hwy 58 in Virginia. He is on the ground under this here tree in front of the park entrance. He is under the back side of the tree. He is hidden well, I had to hold the branches up to get the pic of him on the ground. He is accessible any time as he is outside the park. I would highly recommend you take some time to hike up above the tree line to see the wide vistas, wild ponies, and rock outcrops. It is fantastic. I have enjoyed my second trip with Eggy and maybe, if he comes back, we'll have another Eggventure. Now go get him!
That is a great drop, and a great ride too! I see this one going fast. Has anybody alerted Augie yet?
Augie is probably suiting up as we post! Awesome drop "4-wheels move the body, 2-wheels move the soul"
The NC ToR was in Lansing, NC, about 15 miles from Grayson Highlands. We had three taggers up that way. I guess that's what happens when you don't check the forum from the road. I though for sure this tag wouldn't last more than a couple hours at most.
Ya just had to wait 'til I left Willville to drop that sucker dint ya???!!! Nice tag.I'm in Grants NM now, so I won't be picking him up anytime soon and George is headed for IL.
Yeah? I had thought about having breakfast in Lansing but ended up eating at the Log House in Volney after fueling up. Didn't know the NC tag was down there either. It's not like we conspired against you. Happy trails anyway! Thanks guys, for your comments. KG
cleveland? WHY woud they ever want to ride up here? shoulda handed them eggster... I'd let them sleep in my back yard... awesome spot to drop him man, love that area.....bet it was cold last night.... we were about 35* this morn, and going to 32* tonight, but back up to the 60's tomorrow afternoon.... gotta love living on Lake Erie.
I got back to San Diego about 1300 yesterday, so Eggy and Nutsy are safe. I'll give George a heads up though, since he's just over in IL.
. went to get mr eggy and he was gone from under the tree. no one has posted a grab as of 602 pm. would like to know if he is lost or grabbed. please post if you have him.
Definitely not me or George. He's busy building a deck at his son's and I'm waiting rubber in San Diego.
