If I understand correctly, you're in good shape. We will wait for when you sit on the Big and show where the KTM has to live.:D

Good to see the thread is alive with some new members and beautiful photos.
I wonder if you guys have seen DR tanks from inside? this is my "lucky" buy from e-bay. They were so full of rusty shit that I dumped the idea of electrolysis or acid rust removal and decided to cut the tanks open for sandblasting.

The tanks are welded back together now by a friend of mine who's a pro welder and tested for leaks, everythings OK.

    Mait,

That's certainly getting to the root of the problem.

    Nice work.

What's the purpose of the copper line at the bottom of the tank? Where does the other end go?

Copper pipes serve as reserve fuel pickups and tanks are connected to each other through these pipes.

1983 Yamaha XT600 Tenere. 65000km on the clock. Needs cosmetic work mostly - motor redone already. Headlight not working, not brake light, but I'm not too fuzzed yet. Cost half of my ex-DR did!

Need some advice from all the experts.
Dr 750. When running on full throttle at around 130km/h the bike feels like starting to run out of petrol. Have free flow exhaust. standard airbox and filter. main jets 122.5. Can it be the air fuel mixture? Any advice where to look?

Not really stuttering but more like pull then nothing then pull and it carries on like that. Like playing with trottle open close open close. All in fairly short time. Start easy.
