The way we bought it two years ago... At a Hack gathering and ride last year after the Unit Leading Link Fork was installed. I also changed the final drive to a 7:33 vs the stock EV 8:33 At an open house at The Motorcycle Shop in Freeport, Maine... Mike and Dennis in deep conversation. This gathering was during the remnants of a hurricane that blew up the coast in Oct... I was one of only two motorcycles that weathered the storm to come get some free bbq and beer, I rode 50 miles in the heaviest rain I have EVER seen... the other rider was a Guzzi Breva 750 that rode about ten miles. Owls Head Transportation Museum Euro Meet... Chris' Chang.. My Grandson admiring the carbs on Mike Sharrat's racer... Hangin' on the lawn...
You wanted it! You got it! I know you've got them- Lets see them. With enough prodding, I'll have to get one myself! I realize the rest of the hack threads will get merged here, probably- I just wanted to make the first true, official SHOW ME. Since everything else is Un-official, maybe this could be the Official one. Cheers, mates.
My old 1984 Honda GL1200 with California Friendship II sidecar. I was the third owner and it was put together by the dealer back in 1984. It came to mein the spring two years ago with just over 9500 miles on it. Yeah, that's right. 9500. Severely thrashed, as you can so obviously see. The plan was for the spouse and or kids to ride with me on some epic journeys. It never happened. I ended up putting ~5000 miles on it that year, changed the tires for new and traded it for my 1150GS this past spring. It's only long journey was out to Lake George, NY for Americade and was utilized as a guided tour escort bike by me for three days. All the rest of the miles were put on commuting and running around locally.
My first hack, an '86 Sportster XLH 1100 mated to a Velorex. This photo was taken at a Change Of Command parade in CFB Calgary back in '88, the outgoing British exchange Officer was a bike fanatic and wanted to be taken away from the parade in style...
