Popping that seal
Hi Ya'll. Need to know how many of you guys are popping the seal on a new wheel bearing and giving them a grease before you fit them?
Just popped the seal's on a new set of bearings and only noticed grease on one of the three bearings (included cush drive ). Am I the only one doing this? Cheers Glenn.

You can then face the side you tampered with inwards and be less likely exposed to the elements.

Some sealed bearings have a tiny hole that can take grease with the use of a grease tool just for the job.
Others you might see have a metal seal not plastic. The edge of these are segmented and are spring steel. You can lift one, two or three of these up and the seal will pop out without damage. |
