I asked Jerid at work what the weather looked like and he laughed. He's a meteorologist here at KARE 11 in the Twin Cities. I would take every forecast with a grain of salt until mid next week. Then worry! :eek1

Anyone NOT going to be on a dual sport? It's going to take a minor miracle for my DR350 to make it.

Out. Have a visitation and funeral Saturday.

I'm already on the list as being "IN". I want to add one more guy coming with me from up north. His name is John (we will have to find a catchy name for him over the weekend)

The Fiddler may be out for next weekend, unless someone can help him on his bike.

I briefly considered trying it on my 1100 shadow. Its actually fun to drive on gravel, but I don't think it'd do well on B roads- especially if they're muddy.

So do I drive my shadow 4 comfortable hours each way and be miserable in the mud? Or do I take my xr650 and be uncomfortable for the drive there and back?

I may not have to make that decision, sadly. I might not be able to make it next weekend.

He does that all the time. As long as it was a boom and not a bam he should be ok.

It would be a unique bike for the ride. I had visions of wheelying through the water crossings for the photog, though. Won't be doing that on the Shadow!

Next weekend is very much up in the air. Lemme see if i can get there first. Then, I'll worry about what to drive.
