I never liked the dl1000 looks, I think Suzuki may have cracked it this time.

    beautiful motor
feels better on a gravel road than lentils 650 strom
low centre of gravity comes at a price with the front end of the donk a bit exposed
we'll see what joe can do to fix that

What are your thoughts if you compare the motor to a 990?

    it hasn't got a 990 punch

I suggested that I should be allowed to upgrade my 2010 model for a new one. From memory I was laughed at. Not very nice I thoought :cry

I haven't ridden one, but when I sat on one it felt slim, and not like a 1000cc beast at all! I wish Suzuki had gone a little further and at least fitted spoked wheels or had a spoked wheel model as well. Other manufacturers have done it!

Frankly, if you need spokes then you've picked the wrong bike or the reason to buy. If someone is going to emulate a couple of the off-road videos going around, then they are off their rockers. Its not a 250 dirt bike, but it is a very competent motorcycle on all kinds of roads and surfaces. I am more than happy with mine.

Incidentally I note that in AMCN that it is not only the anniversary of Ken's sad demise, but they also claim that a revised 650 is coming out with 21" front and spokes. Same frame etc. as last year, so you can't win them all.

Well yes, but that's not good news.

The Super Tenere is one of the best looking bikes around.

    The V-Strom looks OK....for a V-Strom.

(All in the eye of the beholder, of course.)
