So we had such a great time last trip and a few people missed out, so we are doing it again. Basic plan, that's certainly open to suggestions; Meet at Richmond Macca's @ 8am for a 8:30 departure. Head up Bells Line of Rd to ZigZag for the second meet point @ 9:30 for a 10am departure. Then there's 2 options; 1. Head down to the servo on the corner of the Castlereigh hwy and Wolgan rd via Blackfellows Hand Track. Or 2. Head to Ben Bullen via BFH track. This route was very rough last time I went through and was not really suitable for the big adventure tourers or n00bs. Ill check this section out over the coming weeks and make a decision. Whichever way we go we'll head to Sofala via Capertee and Turon Gates rd. The rocky section of TGR is a bit of a wake up after some nice flowing trails. We'll have a feed at Sofala before heading to Hill End via the Bridle track. Beelizzy, myself, kickatinalong and peterGSA will be staying at the Hill End Holiday Ranch. There is accommodation at the pub and also camping available. We'll hit the pub on Saturday night for drinks and incredible stories of daring do from the days ride. As for Sunday I'm not sure yet. I'm certainly open to suggestions. I'd like to incorporate Dixons Long point into our return voyage but we'll see. I know it's a way off but I'm hoping it gives people plenty a chance to pencil it into their calendars before other commitments get in the way. Except for the rocky section on TG rd this ride is n00b friendly. Having said that there'll be plenty of people to lend a hand if difficulties arise. sounds good! should be able to come.. are you talking about baal bone pass as bfh trail? on the other side of wolgan road. that first hill would be a srs challenge for bigger bikes and me.. lol another suggestion is having a look at where those suzuki drs went over that river crossing, then up to root hog fire trail. or from the other direction. also like the idea of dixon point road. the river crossing will be awsome. and i already know my feet are gonna get wet.
I might get a chance to do some scouting up there. I'm sure I can find some "work" that needs doing which will explain my absence. I'd like to find the Orange way of getting hooked up on the Root Hog track. i'll check out dixons as well.
Hope u can come along Scotty. At this stage there's a GF of my mates heading up in the car, so we have a support vehicle coming. With beelizzy and said GF u could bring the missus along if you wanted... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Instagram@pvmoto

Last time I went to Root Hog crossing it was way to deep and big rocks scattered under the water. That was after doing Long Point at about 30cm deep not for the faint hearted that one. A good challenge but if up to it
