If you find tdc you can do both. He is cheating and not finding tdc but using the valves to find when one is opening and the other fully closed. I'd that makes sense. :what:

I just got off the phone with Sen Todd Weiler (Woods Cross) who is pushing for a mandatory helmet law.

I told him to avoid the resistance that he'll get from motorcyclists that he should alter the bill to say that LANE SPLITTING(!) is allowed if you're wearing a DOT helmet. That way it's an incentive.:evil

    Done. Sent this.......

"Hey, instead of wasting time on the helmet thing why don't you propose a
Pay to Play law for Utah so I can have a little leverage to get the
deadbeat biological father out of my grandkids life?

While you're at it maybe a law that single unemployed deadbeats can't stop
an adoption unless they pass the same criteria as an adoptive family has
    to.

Can you sense I'm a little bitter with the system?

We have a helmet law. What we don't have protection from is a deadbeat
    with a sperm gun.

    Regards"

The issue with that is that if you adjust the exhaust valves off the wrong TDC you can adjust them too tight. How you know is that your starter has a little bit of trouble getting through the start. Not sure how/why this happens but its talked about over on KTM talk... I adjusted my valves using that technique and it happened once. Thought it was the battery (that is why that bike has that badass battery, Kev) but turned out to just be the valves too tight...

If you look close when rotating the engine its easy to see the overlap portion of the cam. If you can't tell the difference pull the plug and locator pin and put it on the right tdc. its just takes longer.
