Vasilij, I'm honored and happy you said that...it was also the single best day on a motorcycle on my life too...and I think Mike's. It was truly epic. Thank you for being with us.

From there I rode to San Francisco - our final destination.
On my way there I managed to get lost couple of times. Before that I never missed an exit, but around city of San Jose direction signs had no exit numbers, so I missed probably a dozen of exits.
Anyway I got to SF already in the dark and finally met Ian on observation point on Marin Headlands.

    Proper police bikes.

All in all we spent four days in SF. I really liked SF. Even very first people I spoke there to gave me really good mood. :)
And all those hills and neat streets... Zeitgeist bar is awesome place to have a drink and chat with somebody at random.

First couple of days we tried to find buyers for our bikes, but all in vain.
At some point one guy even left his house to take a look at our bikes, an hour later he called to say that his car broke down and it was overheating but he'll figure something out. Then he called to say that his car was being towed... unlucky. :lol3
So on the third day we sold the bikes to MotoJava used cycle dealer. Per their website, you can still get Ian's KLR from them for almost twice the price we sold it to them. :D

After that was a flight to Tampa, two days there, and then back to Ukraine.
Donetsk is 140 miles from where I live, it's kind of ceasefire there now. "Kind of."

Anyway, this was the best holiday I've ever had. And not only from the point of what I saw and where I rode, but also from the point of the people with whom we spoke. This means your guys. Even if I never saw you or spoke to, you still indirectly took part in our adventure - United States are populated by genuinely nice and hospitable people.

What next? You're gonna laugh, but even in SF I already started thinking about next trip to the US. :D
We've seen so much and yet so little. TAT or maybe just the western states next time. I don't know, anyway this is not going to happen in at least five years.
Right now I am probably going to put off the long rides and get back on the feet for some trekking.

How amazing that you managed to see so much of the Best the West. There are so many Americans that haven't seen what you have now seen.

I've ridden all of the Western United states and stood in most of the places you did, but can't imagine the adventure you had just to get here! Good for you for taking the time and the effort to make this incredible journey happen. Surely you will remember it for the rest of your life!

And, thanks for taking us all along with you :-):clap

:freaky Fantastic report!!!! So glad you guys enjoyed our country. You really did some of the best of it. And, hope you get back here to do some more. Just so much to see and do just in the West. Heck, I've been coast to coast and border to border and just will not get to see it all in my life time. :clap:clap:clap

Hundreds of pictures from my trip and not a picture with me in it. What a shame. But finally, two months lanter, I got all the pictures from all the parties involved and now I can provide hard evidence that it was actually me. :D
