    @Madison
Looks really good with the black can!
Never seen the Rotor guard before, is there a WWW.adress on the box?
    (tried hyperracing)

My Wunderlich fairing frame got cracks after 8K, I presume the extra deflector will generate even more force on it.

    Sorry, it was hyderacing.com

Emgo case was from Motorcycle Superstore. I've owned the same case 3Xs. Inexpensive and really functional for under $100. Not bad. You'll have to mod the rack and attachment kit to make everything fit. Will take about one beer or a good cup of coffee to complete.:D

Exhaust is a Tungsten color and almost perfectly matches the frame. Pipe doesn't look so HUGE now. :lol3

    Thanks!
Chain looks tight in the last pic!
Idea for mounting your vision X, I replaced the Frontlight M8 for a Ram ball
so I can switch between bikes

Question : since 2009 the rear shock is about 5cm shorter then the pre-2009 models. Can this shorter rear shock simply be replaced with the longer one? Or is it not that simple and does it require other replacements/modifications too?

    Thanks,
    Paul

Yes. There was something minor we had to do the brake line holder (twist it out?), but it must not have been too terrible because I can't remember...

Ok...few hundred miles her now. Averaging 65mpg. Love everything stock and modified. Exhaust heat noted. Will switch to Avon Distanzias down the road and add a tooth on the front sprocket. Fun little commuter/city bike.

I just picked up black '07 in like new condition after selling my DRZ-400. I'm ecstatic about it! Only wrinkle is that my search convinced me that I want a yellow one and the nicest one I found was black. Anyone out there want to swap front fender and "tank?" (I know this probably belongs in the flea market, but it gets lost among all of the non-X-Country stuff there.

Yeah, I think I probably will if I can't locate some yellows, but that opens a Pandora's box for me. Then do I go white with red, blue, and purple stripes like the euro Dakar models? Do I go mars red like an R65LS? I'd rather have my options limited :baby

    Lookin good !

Think about a slip-on muffler, UNI air filter and a BoosterPlug to go with that 17T front sprocket. You'll be amazed.

Thanks. Actually, the build has been coming along quite nicely. I do agree that it probably needs the booster plug. It's already sporting an SR Racing Exhaust, so no need to further dally with that :evil

Yes this is an easy replacement, I fitted one to my 2007 xCo. The things you have to think about are sidestand needing adjustment (shortening) and centre stand if fitted. You may also want to ease the front forks up in the frame a little, to lower the bike a bit more.

    Hm, I don't want to lower it, I want a 2010 model to be as high as a 2007 model ! :D

Muug, misread your post but the point about the interchangeability of the rear shocks is still valid. I've had shocks of various lengths on my xCo. Go for it!

They're bring back our engine and giving our bike a cousin the g650gs... the there's an optional center stand, I wonder if it fits our bikes or not

Anyone know how much the bikes share or the best way to find out?
