Ok boys and girls. After reading so many wonderful reports I decided that it's time to do one myself... Inspired by those who amazed everyone with their adventures and pics, here we go.

First things first: I'm from Brasil (yes, with the "S"), and I love South America.

My wife is from Venezuela and she loves to ride with me (long hauls, that's it) and loves Patagonian flowers too:
    :D

This is our third adventure abroad. The previous ones leaded us to some of the most beautiful places in South America and we loved every km of it. Now we are going again and I'd like to invite you to join us. This summer we gonna see the Northwest Argentina and the northern part of Chile, including the Atacama Desert. Since we live in Northeast Brasil, well this gonna be a looong ride:lol3. And this ride report is LIVE!!!!!

Yes, this invitation I do from a tiny hotel room, 756 km from home, going south. Yes, I left home this morning (the wife stayed one more week:cry, to do business).

Come and ride with us. Tomorrow I will update this with photos and some story telling about this part of the world: Brasil.

    The day started promissing:

But, as you may now, the first km are to get used with the bike with all the luggage. Some 200 km after living home, I could meet local artists exposing their job on the road side:

After that, under the rising temperatures of Brasil's summer, I just rode, manhandling the heavy trucks and crazy drivers. And by the late afternoon...

    Things got even more interesting

I couldn't help. I took a little detour so I could enjoy those crazy rock formation a little closer

Great photos, beautiful countryside. Nice bike. Do you have a map to show us your route.
I lived in Guyana for about 10 years and visited Boa Vista, Roraima, Brazil many times way up North on the Guyana/Venezuela border. This was way back in the seventies.

Yesterday was amazing! But I'll get there tomorrow. The problem was that I got to the little hotel (we brazilians call it "pousadas") to tired to do anything. But I can release a little teaser::evil

So, let's talk about day two. As I told before, something was telling me that I would have a great day of riding, as I entered the state of Minas Gerais:

This is one of the biggest states of my country, along side with Bahia, where I live. But has a more, how could I say, dramatic geography:

So the geography is responsible for our fun through the mountains:

    .

But most of the times I had to share it with trucks and their mad drivers. Even if I had the felling that I was in the jungle (can you spot the trucks in the middle of all that green?)

    .

So, as the day went by and the heat went up, I started to seek for more empty roads. And guess what? I found them!!!:clap

    .

It was a scenic, lonely and beautiful ride. Either way.

    .

And another feature of Minas Gerais started to pop up: some of the most important part of Brasil's history was made here. And the old stuff became more visible:

    .

And next day brought those old stuff, the good stuff and one of the most enjoyable riding days that I ever had. Stay tuned as I will keep you guys posted. Good night. :wave

Maybe you could take a photo of your route on a map and post that if you can get a good shot.

Awesome. I'm at a BMW dealer changing tires (I will go with the Mitas E 07). Let's see how it works with lots of tarmac and dirt all together... Later I will update this with the last two days. Meanwhile, waiting for my lovely wife to arrive so we can keep the good vibes!

Wow, incredible. Great to see bike riders doing something, most never think to try. ADV has started more adventure than we have RR I'm sure.
