That's very close to Camp (Little) Crossroads where my daughters used to go for a summer Christian Retreat.

Not going to make this one, USS West Virginia decided to have an "issue" here at the yard and we have a "meeting" at 1430.

Defaultgateway and I found that camp ealier this year while out exploring. My GPS incorrectly claimed the road continued through and connected to Alhambra. Turned around at the gate and then promptly turned on a dirt road that went up the mountain. That was the trip I found out why waterproof boots were bad for water crossings. Feet were not dry until I had been home for a few hours and the boots took days to fully dry.

Now I know that this was the Little Piney River that I rode through. It was deeper than expected. Google maps correctly shows that the road does not connect through.

I know they are behind the times out here in Roanoke, but this is ridiculous. Even I might be able to out run this one...

oh, that camp.. I know where that is at the end of little piney and where that creek crossing is.

If I'm remembering right, there is/was a way to get to Alhambra (via Wiggins) from little piney road. when I say a way I mean more of a trail/path than a road. We'll have to check that out sometime.

Hello adventurers. I have a question. How much do you think a 2003 DRZ with 13,000 miles that is in pretty great condition sell for? I may be picking one up, but at the price I'm paying I'm debating keeping it, and instead flipping it to fund a purchase of a WR250R at some point.

I will second Osaka if that's around where you'll be. The owner is very well known in Richmond, and some of his other restaurants are even more popular. Wild Ginger has the best lamb you will ever taste, he owns the Blue Goat which is a European Gastropub down at Libbie and Grove, and he just opened the Fat Dragon on the boulevard off of Broad Street. You can't go wrong with any of them.

Is it a new building or just a new business in one those buildings on the right just before heading down hill to Lowesville?
