I found and scanned this pic of me and my Dad the other day, and since looking at it again it seems like I keep seeing some really cool vans out there- and some of them have really cheap prices on them! Maybe it's because I spent my summers living out of this thing, but I love vans!

We had this awesome van when I was a kid, I wish I still had it. A seventy-something Dodge, with blue carpet on the floors and walls, a wood paneling divider behind the seats, orange fun fur on the ceiling, an etched galss mirror and the remains of a bed. The van was painted metallic blue with a big zigzag white stripe, white flames and a spoiler on the back. My dad put a 400 out of a Charger in it, and we drove that silly thing all over the country. We have a picture of my sister sitting on the roof of it watching a lunar eclipse in Key West, we drove it out into a buffalo ranch in Kansas, and to all sorts of points in between. Dammit! I want a van!
No digitized pics, but we had neato Chevy conversion van when I was a kid. Drove all over the SouthWest with it. Powder blue velour interior baby!
Sounds like my childhood. We had several, including a 68 (?) flat nosed Dodge... those really are my favorite. The one in the pic was a '73. I gotta ask Dad if he has more pics.
Dad's company had an Econoline that we used to take trips in. Nice way to travel, IMHO. I remember seeing this movie one night on late night satellite. Left a lasting impression...
