Well, I've been tasked to start the ride report for this year's Death Valley March Madness nOObs Ride; and since I'm not coming home until Monday night I figure I better get it started before I go so the other nOObs know where to post.

If you are a reader and waiting for the good stuff, just be patient. Some folks hit the road today and there's a bunch more heading out tomorrow. Since there's wifi at Panamint Springs Resort there may be some reports coming in from onsite over the next couple of days.

In the meantime here's a few threads from the past:

And let me be the first to thank Joel (h8chains) for once again herding this bunch of nOObs and not-so-nOObs into participating in what is sure to be a great weekend. :clap:clap:clap You can see his efforts here: http://www.advrider.com/forums/showthread.php?t=524140

I'm happy to add the first picture, but I can't write much more - I got a lot of work to do to get ready for tomorrow.

Overall a great weekend. Saw a lot of Death Valley I hadn't seen before this trip. Rode in sand the first time, broke a clutch lever, put some new scratches on the bike, ate a lot of dust, chewed a lot of gravel and made some new friends. Had so much fun I got a 45 min nose bleed when I arrived home.

What a way to start off my first ADV group ride. I loved meeting all of you guys. Come check out how I saw the great time through my lens...

Solo chick nicomama death valley ride report

Now mind you, I don't have a lot of awesome dirt action shots, because I was doing my best to stay upright through Titus Canyon and not stop every second for a shot that would slow the group down. I had an absolute ball!!

    Thanks guys,
    Nicole

    And we're off again!

After a bit of discussion we decided to have dinner in Olancha then press on the the Warm Springs in Saline Valley.

So after dinner we pressed on. But it was clear that we would not even make South Pass before dark.

So what did we do? We kept riding.

We arrived at the springs and found a few AdvRiders already there and already very pickled. No names and no photos to protect the innocent.

    Morning at the springs.
