Last week I ran across a site that had seat kits for the SE. They could make the foams in different densities. Now of course I can't find it,,, didn't bookmark it. Anyone have a link???

Also there is an entire SE seat with this cover on it in the OC flea market. No connection to me.

Just installed a seat-concepts standard density foam seat on my 990. with the rain and wind I have not gotten out of the garage yet. For reference the foam in the new seat is twice as heavy as the stock seat foam. The fit was good and I really like the orange stitching they added.

Looks like a nice seat. The stock SE seat is plenty firm . . . adding a sheep skin covers works for me . . . adds more comfort w/out raising the seat height much.
Plus, Dropping the forks a bit in the triple clamps with a 17" X 4.25" rear wheel . . . allows me to reach the ground @ 5' 11" with a thick sheep skin cover.

Stock height. Modified for a little more saddle area front to rear. Wider seating area at rear of saddle.

Another vote for seat Concepts, I really like mine, I never specified density so I must assume it is the standard

I was going to get my seat redone but decided on the Seat Concepts because it was easier to just click some buttons on the PC and have it come in the mail.

They didn't specify a choice of foam density when I bought it so I guess I got standard. It is advertised as an 'enduro' seat not a touring or comfort seat so keep that in mind.

As an enduro seat it's better than stock. Fit and finish is nice.
I haven't had a chance to spend more than an hour on the seat, but my butt starts to get the twinges after about 40 minutes. The seam is an overlapping join rather than a butt join and I find that tends to cut into the inner thigh. Probably not a problem with offroad pants but you can feel it in jeans.

As an enduro seat it's good, but as a long distance touring seat you may need to look further. But everyone is different and has different needs. Some may find it great.
For me if it was 1 or 2 inches wider at the back it would make all the difference.

How does the 950SE Seat Concepts cover/foam fit the seat? Do they send you staples . . . or do you send them your seat?

The seat cover and foam fit good. It's all DIY you have to supply your own staples and staple gun. Easy job if your half handy.

I used one of the Walmart ATV covers for about 3 years on 2 different bikes, the Adv included. It was okay, not the best, but better than stock. Nothing like my seat concepts!
