Trip from Czech to Crimea and back

Thanks for sharing the pictures and your trip. I will say this about the former USSR they know how to build war memorials.
the one in (then/1984) East Berlin was also impressive.

Taking nothing from the allies, but it's because the Russians, Ukrainians, etc. suffered so much. If not for the tank battle at Kursk or the 800k to 1M German casualties at Stalingrad, the Allies would have faced them at Normandy - and not succeeded. Leningrad (now St. Petersburg) and Stalingrad suffereded tremendously. The Soviets lost tens of millions of people.

Why The Great Patriotic War is so important to them.

Loved your guy's RR though could have used more photos. Perhaps too much pivo?
